Reconstitution Research Protocol
This process transforms lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder into a stable, biologically active liquid solution. Begin by sanitizing your workspace and wiping the rubber stoppers of both the Bacteriostatic Water and the peptide vial with alcohol. Using a sterile syringe, draw the required amount of Bacteriostatic Water. Utilize the "Side-Wall" Technique by aiming the needle at the inside glass wall of the peptide vial; inject the water slowly so it slides down the glass rather than hitting the powder directly. Due to Preptide’s neutral pH, the powder will dissolve quickly. Do not shake the vial, as this can fracture delicate peptide bonds. Gently swirl the vial until the solution is crystal clear.
Compatible Preptide Products
Preptide Bacteriostatic Water is designed as the universal diluent for the entire research line. This includes Retatrutide (100mg), a triple-agonist (GLP-1/GIP/GCG) that requires high stability for long-term research cycles, and VIP (Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide), a complex blend including PACAP, Secretin, and GIP that benefits from the 0.9% Benzyl Alcohol preservative. It is also the standard for GLOW, a specialized peptide stabilized for a 30-day potency window when mixed with Preptide diluents.
Storage Recommendations
For Lyophilized (Dry) peptides, store at -20°C (Freezer) for up to 24 months. Once Reconstituted (Liquid), store at 2°C – 8°C (Refrigerator) for up to 28–30 days. Bacteriostatic Water should be kept at Room Temperature before opening until the expiration date. Note that once the Bacteriostatic Water seal is broken, it must be discarded after 28 days to ensure antimicrobial efficacy.
Reconstitution Chart (100mg Vials)
This chart determines the concentration of a 100mg Retatrutide or VIP vial based on the volume of water added. Adding 1ml (100 units) results in a concentration of 100mg/ml, yielding 10mg per 10 units on an insulin syringe. Adding 2ml (200 units) results in 50mg/ml, yielding 5mg per 10 units. Adding 4ml (400 units) results in 25mg/ml, yielding 2.5mg per 10 units. Adding 5ml (500 units) results in 20mg/ml, yielding 2mg per 10 units.
The Silent Guardian of Stability
In the world of advanced metabolic research, Bacteriostatic Water is the silent partner that determines whether peptides deliver results or degrade into useless amino acids. At Preptide, our 0.9% Benzyl Alcohol concentration serves as a dual-action antimicrobial defence and stability enhancer, inhibiting bacterial growth and ensuring chemical bonds remain intact for 28 days. Unlike generic, acidic diluents that cause "peptide fracturing," Preptide utilizes Neutral pH (7.0) Calibration. This chemically matched medium ensures zero fracturing of the molecular chain, optimal bioavailability for every milligram, and a faster, cleaner dissolve without harmful agitation.
Researcher’s Quick Checklist
Always wipe both vial stoppers with alcohol to prevent external contaminants. Use the side-wall injection technique to prevent foaming and protect delicate bonds. Gently rotate the vial rather than shaking to avoid mechanical stress. Finally, always refrigerate at 2°C – 8°C to prevent thermal degradation.
